For the longest time now people have complained about not being able to see what’s going on in their homes when their vision is impaired by night vision imaging.

While infrared technology is slowly improving, there is another camera that offers better night vision than anything else currently available.

One the above lines we go deep into Blink Security camera Features and how they are in comparison with other cameras. Let’s see the Cons

Not The Best Resolution

Blink Home Security offers capturing videos at a low cost and has an easy DIY installation process that can complete in a few minutes.

However, it doesn’t give you the best camera resolution out there, most home security cameras now offer HD resolution and above FHD, and some go to UHD.

It’s not the worst at all, there are some poor cameras that give you videos recorded in 720 pixels. So, you will struggle to find details of your videos, 1080p is good to see things around you clearly.

Low-Quality Night Vision

Night Vision monitoring is important for more than one reason, and each security camera nowadays offers night vision features from low-price cameras to Advanced technology cameras.

On our Blink Security camera Review we notice that Night Vision is not good as we expect, details may be missed if your camera is placed in the wrong place, or is mounted behind trees.

Some cameras offer color night vision security cameras like Amcrest, But it’s also come at a high price as you compared to Blink security cameras.

  1. I bought my first Blink 4 years ago. It records when something passes across the camera. It does not record any straight forward motion. Has that changed with the newer versions?

  2. Yes, the newer versions have a built-in motion sensor that can alert when movement is detected, and in case you link your camera with the mobile app you’ll be able to view a captured video clip of what triggered the event.
